And so my new blog begins...

Beginning a blog is a big undertaking. What will I write each day? Each day? No, not ever day, surely? Weekly perhaps? Or Bi-weekly? Holidays off? Weekends? And for how long? And how long each post…

To support my book Eclipsed and this site more generally, I intend to write frequent posts but to keep them as short as possible. Some will be funny and some won’t - but this is subjective of course. Where possible, I will relate them to Eclipsed but they most definitely will not be all about Tom Holland and his current life. That said, I hope they are enjoyable and/or worthy and something that visitors might wish to share.

So to begin…

A study at a US university has established the following.

Putting rats in to a glass container of water, they observed that the animals will complete laps of the container, over and over again until they give up and drown on average after 6 hours.

Further experiments shows that rats that are taken from the tank at 5 hours - then dried and fed - and then put back in to the same container will complete laps for 12 hours before dying of exhaustion.

And what does this cruel experiment demonstrate to us…

The importance of HOPE and the life force that it is.

A point I make as boldly and clearly as possible over 100k words in Eclipsed.
